Schools spend more than £10 billion a year on non-staffing costs such as electricity, IT and facilities management.

That is the cost equivalent of building about 400 new secondary schools or employing 270,000 primary school teachers.

As the UK’s biggest public procurement organisation, Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has a wide range of commercial deals available to help schools and academies save money on everything from technology and utilities to supply teachers and other temporary staff.
