Self-funding healthy tuck shops

Healthy Tuck Shops give children an opportunity to practice enterprise skills, promote healthy eating in their school, and make a profit.

By allowing older children to operate the tuck shop, it becomes something that the younger children aspire to be a part of. The result is a successful business that contributes to building healthy eating habits.

Pupils Profit offer easy-to-use Enterprise Training Toolkits to help the children to set up their Healthy Tuck Shop, and to give them a system to work to. The Pupils Profit range of Healthy Tuck Shop snacks are within the Children’s Food Trust guidelines and extremely popular. Children in the enterprise team develop valuable skills.

The regular operating of the tuck shops helps embed learning, so that it becomes second-nature to work as a team, handle money, analyse data, take initiative, communicate positively and so on.
