The Explorer Dome

Why waste break time waiting in line to get a turn on a traditional timber trim trail? St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School in Milton Keynes changed the game when they purchased the impressive Explorer Dome.

With its bridges to cross, ladders to climb and various levels to reach, it creates an adventurous jungle for children of all ages to enjoy and explore.

The school wanted structured activities that challenged and helped the pupils to develop purposeful play, while also keeping them active, engaged, interacting with and co-operating with others.

Headteacher Rosemarie Jones said: “We were reviewing the next phase of our play areas when we were shown the Explorer Dome which we loved.

"Other local schools are now coming to check-out the dome and saying that they have never seen anything like it. It’s also a great selling tool to future pupils and their parents.”
