Alistair Shaw and Nicki Bell have worked together since 2007 supporting primary leadership development. Between them, they have been headteachers of eight schools since 1995.
In 2013, they created a Leadership Development Framework for leaders at different career stages.
Optimum Leadership Solutions was created in 2014 in response to frequent requests from course participants for practical materials and support. A series of fit-for-purpose solutions to many issues that schools face was created. The solutions are straight-forward, adaptable-to-context tools. Our solutions will help prepare for external verification, but more importantly, will support schools in their day-to-day focus on high-quality teaching and learning. We aim to:
- Provide school leaders with workable, up-to-date and practical solutions for a range of leadership tasks. There are 15 solutions ranging from a time-efficient self-evaluation framework to a structure for judging “teaching over time”.
- Provide bespoke consultancy support
- Provide training to meet the needs of leaders in different contexts including middle and senior leaders, aspiring leaders, new heads, those in schools requiring improvement, and specific training relating to different Ofsted categories.
