Schools are being urged to get involved with Sport Relief, which takes place again next year on March 18.

The Youth Sport Trust is offering all primary schools a 14-day free trial of its Skills2Achieve programme.

Many primary pupils are below recommended levels of fitness for their age, a study has found.


Rugby World Cup 2015

Schools can apply now for their pupils to be part of the welcoming ceremonies for the 20 Rugby World Cup 2015 teams in September.


Disability sport funding

The Project Ability programme, which aims to get more disabled young people playing sport, has received a £300,000 funding boost.



RESOURCE: Energy Club hits 500

More than 500 schools are now signed up to the Energy Club, an extra-curricular physical activity scheme for children aged from four to 11. It is free for all schools across England and comes in the form of a before and after school club.
