Headteacher Update's Guide To Canopies is a six-page, free guide to the installation and potential use of canopy structures within your school grounds.

In March 2014, Headteacher Update published a Guide To Canopies. The six-page publication, published alongside our March edition, is a free guide to the installation and potential use of canopy structures within your school grounds.

Produced with support from the experts at Inside2Outside, the Guide To gives advice on the various uses that canopies can be put to, including classroom extensions, walled canopies, covered walkways, parent waiting areas, and more

We explain how canopies can help schools to make the most of their grounds and resources and give advice on planning permission, installation, canopy design and the best materials.

There are also two case studies looking at how some schools have made the most of their canopy structures.
