Let’s Play drama resources and creativity CPD

The Let’s Play programme supports teachers to use theatre, drama and creativity in their classrooms and is available free for all state primary schools.

Run by the National Theatre the programme offers free learning resources and training/CPD opportunities for teachers across three areas:

The free resources include lessons plans and short films showcasing the theatre industry, learning resources and toolkits to support delivery of the curriculum, play scripts for key stages 1 and 2 with songs, backing tracks and director’s notes, and tips for theatre-making in primary schools.

Let’s Play is offering training both online and in-person to allow teachers to explore drama as a tool for learning.

The upcoming CPD programme for the autumn term includes:

Elsewhere, the National Theatre Primary Collection introduces children aged four to 11 to the magic and spectacle of theatre through titles such as Peter Pan, Treasure Island, I Want My Hat Back, and wonder.land. In partnership with the Unicorn Theatre, new titles will also be made available free for state primary schools via the National Theatre Primary Collection in September.
