A key stage 1 and 2 hedgehog education pack has been unveiled by the wildlife charity People’s Trust for Endangered Species (PTES).
The resources – with titles such as “homes for hogs” and “bug banquets” – help pupils learn about the world of hedgehogs and how small changes made at school and/or at home can make a big difference.
Pupils can design hedgehog houses, identify hedgehog hazards to look out for, and discover what makes a healthy hedgehog dinner, with links to subjects including science and art and design.
The resource comes alongside Hedgehog Street, a joint awareness raising and education campaign by PTES and the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
