Website offers EAL resources and guidance

Written by: Pete Henshaw | Published:

The Bell Foundation has amalgamated its website with the popular EAL Nexus, offering a one-stop-shop of research, advice and resources for teachers who support pupils using English as an additional language (EAL).

The new website now offers 150-plus resources, guidance and “Great Ideas” as well as access to the award-winning EAL Assessment Framework for Schools and Digital EAL Assessment Tracker.

These assessment tools can be used to gather data to support the teaching and learning of learners who use EAL and to enable teachers to generate targets to guide progress.

Also available via the new website are a range of training opportunities, news updates and blogs from the charity’s experts and others.

The resources cover all age ranges, from the early years through to key stage 5 and adult education, and are searchable by key stage, phase of education, language level and subject among other filters. The resources are free to access, although teachers are required to register.
