RESOURCE: Dementia Awareness

A resource pack to teach school children about dementia has been launched. It is the culmination of a project that has seen 22 primary and secondary schools introduce the theme of dementia into their curriculums and which has reached more than 2,000 children.

The importance of sun safety is the theme for a new poetry competition for primary pupils.


NHS Explorer

A resource featuring health information for primary and special school pupils in England has been launched.


Orchard initiative

A total of 150 primary schools across the country have received help to create traditional orchards in their grounds. The Fruit-Full Schools programme, developed by Learning through Landscapes, aims to support environmental sustainability and locally grown produce.


In Care, In School

A resource for schools has been developed to help pupils and teachers across the UK better understand and appreciate the needs of children and young people in care.
