Headteacher Update has this month published a Guide To improving your school's outdoor play equipment. The six-page publication, published alongside our January edition, is a free guide to revamping your outdoor areas, including tips for the full planning and installation process.
Published in association with Playtime by Fawns, the Guide looks at the entire process of creating your perfect outdoor play area, including the legal issues and planning/safety requirements that you will need to consider.
We look at what you should demand from your chosen suppliers and how you can involved your pupils in the process.
It also includes two case studies of schools that have revamped their play areas, including an inner city school with a lack of space to play with.
