Created by the British Red Cross, the resource includes activities, short films, picture diagrams, lesson plans and quizzes. Each first aid skill demonstrated focuses on one key action – making it simple to teach.
The resource is divided into primary and secondary level, with materials to suit the different age groups.
It comes after first aid was made a part of statutory relationships, sex and health education in England. By the end of primary education, pupils should now know how to make a clear and efficient call to emergency services if necessary and the concepts of basic first-aid, for example dealing with common injuries, including head injuries.
