We recognise that schools require a fast and cost effective solution when it comes to dealing with the additional demand for classroom places. Deciding to expanding existing schools or building new ones is an incredibly expensive policy which is why we see our buildings as the ideal solution.

We’ve all read about the alarming lack of classroom places across the UK with estimations suggesting that two pupils may have to fight for every place in some areas of the UK within the next two years. LGA chairman David Simmonds said that councils were facing "unprecedented pressures", leaving schools to face a "desperate shortage" of places in the near future.

Our solution

We recognise that schools require a fast and cost effective solution when it comes to dealing with the additional demand for classroom places. Deciding to expanding existing schools or building new ones is an incredibly expensive policy which is why we see our buildings as the ideal solution.

The Stable Company are a specialist, British manufacturer of bespoke timber framed educational buildings. We provide a complete turnkey solution where we manage every aspect of the build from start to finish. Everything we design is prefabricated off site in our dedicated manufacturing facility which enables us to tailor our buildings to your exact needs, keeping onsite installation to an absolute minimum.

Creating the right learning environment

We’re passionate about providing your school with a unique teaching environment or extracurricular space. We understand the importance of creating the right learning environment where both the teachers and children will be able to reach their full potential which is why our school buildings are tailor made to meet your exact requirement to ensure your left with the best possible learning environment.

A study in 2012 by the University of Salford and architects Nightingale Associates found that the classroom environment can affect a child’s academic progress – both positively and negatively – by as much as 25 per cent over the course of a year.

The study highlighted the quality of natural light and the level of noise as being fundamental factors in influencing the children’s ability to concentrate and learn effectively. Our buildings allow high levels of natural light to enter the classroom and reduce the needs for artificial lighting. Timber has outstanding acoustic qualities which can enhance the sound within a room while preventing the sound from travelling from one room to the next, which while being a quality all classrooms will benefit from, is absolutely perfect for music rooms.

Connecting with nature

According to an Ofsted report into learning outside the classroom “when planned and implemented well, learning outside the classroom contributed significantly to raising standards and improving pupils’ personal, social and emotional development”.

Our modular classrooms help children connect with nature in a more profound way than traditional classrooms. They provide a more inspiring and motivational learning environment where teachers can open up the classroom to the outdoors to create a true outdoor classroom. Teachers can devise more creative and diverse lesson plans that will make leaning more fun and more productive.

We want to help schools solve the problems they’re facing when it comes to a lack of classroom places. Our bespoke educational buildings can be tailored to your exact needs; can be completed in a matter of weeks, and can be managed by us from start to finish all within your budget. The end result is a beautifully created, highly sustainable, multifunctional classroom which will provide teachers and students with an inspiring learning environment for years to come.
