Each book covers 15 punctuation objectives related to the national curriculum and provides practice in the difficult skills of punctuation at three differentiated levels – cat, dog and rabbit.

Within the introduction to the book, a national curriculum level equivalent is provided in order to match the task to the pupil, as well as act as a measurement tool for supporting ongoing assessment in writing. Each skill is defined as a target for whole-class teaching and enables teachers to collect evidence for monitoring pupils' progress.

The CD-Rom facilitates class discussion for use on the whiteboard, with worksheets acting as follow-up tasks. Each activity is supported with brief teacher notes and key questions to ask. This is a very user-friendly resource aimed solely at developing pupils' punctuation skills – ideal for adapting to individual, group or whole-class learning.

As each book builds on the next, it would be an ideal resource to incorporate throughout the school English curriculum.
