The free materials are part of the Computing at School initiative and can be used at home and at school (including while respecting social distancing).
They have been published on the Barefoot Computing platform, which is run by BT and Computing at School.
Entitled Barefoot Bytes, the resources can be adapted into teachers’ lesson plans to engage learners with interactive tasks.
Barefoot Bytes is available on the Barefoot Computing website, which is a platform provided by BT and Computing at School as part of BT’s Skills for Tomorrow programme. Around 70,000 primary school teachers have already accessed Barefoot resources and support.
Barefoot Computing was originally launched in 2014 to help primary school teachers prepare for the changing computing curriculum, providing teacher training and lesson materials and ideas.
Computing at School is a UK-wide network for computing teachers run by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
Computing at School provides peer-to-peer support around the teaching of computing and computer science.
