The programme builds on the existing work professional football clubs offer to primary schools in their communities (Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney is pictured here working with local pupils).
The Premier League’s 10-week Reading Stars programme, created in association with the National Literacy Trust, will also continue as part of the Primary Stars programme.
By signing up to the free resources, schools can apply for Premier League book boxes that feature 15 titles from authors including Jacqueline Wilson, Cressida Cowell and Dan Freedman.
The Primary Stars digital resources have been developed in partnership with organisations including the National Literacy Trust and the PSHE Association.
Primary schools can register for free on www.plprimarystars.com to enable access to the programme’s full portfolio of resources
