Use and care of voice for teachers

Staff wellbeing
Teachers are eight times more likely to suffer voice problems than any other profession and 50 per cent of NQTs will suffer voice loss in their first year.

This new interactive online course develops understanding of voice production, vocal variety and vocal health. Created by an experienced teacher and university ITE lecturer, it includes practical exercises and reflection opportunities to support teachers’ effective use of voice and improve their classroom presence.

At just 30 to 45 minutes, and CPD-accredited, optional links mean the learning journey can be personalised to meet individual professional development needs. The voice is a teacher’s most important tool – it is worth investing in.
