A resource featuring health information for primary and special school pupils in England has been launched.
Aimed at pupils aged five to 11, the resource features the monkey character from the Monkey Goes to Hospital series and is to be sent to more than 19,000 primary and special schools.
It aims to help teachers educate their pupils about NHS services, healthy living and preventing illness, among other things.
It has been produced by AhHa Publications and the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement and includes lesson plans, a DVD,
35 children's guidebooks for them to take home, stickers, posters and a monkey puppet.
The pack is linked to the national curriculum and is relevant to PSHE or citizenship lessons.
