Organised by charity Into Film, the festival takes place from November 8 to 29 and screenings and related events are due to take place in around 500 cinemas and other venues across the UK.
It is estimated that half a million pupils take part in the annual festival with a number of SEN and autism-friendly screenings and events, as well as screenings for the deaf and hearing-impaired.
The programme includes classic film screenings as well as special educational events hosted by guests from the world of film.
All films on the programme are accompanied by film guides and resources that align with the curriculum. The annual festival review-writing competition is also back this year.
