The new resource, entitled This is Everyone’s Game – Black Voices, is suitable for key stage 2 and has been launched by the Premier League’s Primary Stars education programme.
It includes films starring Manchester City’s Demi Stokes and Liverpool’s Divock Origi, both in conversation with award-winning children’s author Sharna Jackson. The players discuss their upbringing and their own experiences of racism.
The new resource is available for free to primary schools in England and Wales via Premier League Primary Stars and forms part of the Premier League’s No Room For Racism initiative.
The resource contains activity worksheets and films on Black role models and discrimination. Learning outcomes include what diversity is and why it is important, the impact that racism can have on people, and why it is good to learn and celebrate Black history.
