Red Nose Day 2017

Teaching resources
Red Nose Day is back on Friday, March 24, and Comic Relief has launched its resources and education packs to help schools with their planning.

The free Primary School Fundraising Pack, created by teachers, offers fundraising tips, balloons, stickers and posters. To help pupils understand why they are fundraising, teachers will find films and learning resources about 12-year-old Hassan from Sierra Leone, whose life was turned upside down by the Ebola outbreak. Materials are tailored for lower and upper primary.

The money raised by schools will be used to help fund projects that tackle poverty and injustice across Africa and the UK.

Since last Red Nose Day, money raised has helped:

  • More than 860,000 children to be given life-saving vaccines.
  • More than 310,000 children, young people and their families, at risk of abuse, violence and exploitation, to lead safer lives.
  • More than 47,000 people with a mental health condition to get support.
