This resource pack is a multimedia toolkit filled with practical, usable and interesting techniques, songs and guidance which are aimed at improving a range of areas that have an impact on achievement and attainment, such as children’s including concentration, self-esteem and inner peace.

While the concept behind the pack isn’t new, the content of this pack is based on comprehensive research since 2009 using a range of schools and the writer’s extensive experiences.

From the very start this pack is easy to follow, well-written, clear and concise and delivers a compelling argument for the benefits of the simple strategies it promotes. The DVD and CDs add depth and strength to the pack and provide visible strategies to demonstrate exercises. The music really enhances the activities, has clear aims and the accompanying pages offer further learning opportunities.

The core focus of the pack is a range of simple wellbeing exercises (linking yoga and other strategies such as breathing techniques) that take under five minutes – these are easy to fit into a school day and very flexible.

Each exercise has a clear explanation, cleverly supplemented by the DVD demonstration, giving benefits from the exercise and ideas for when to incorporate it.

This is a really useful resource to complement and further develop the work already underway in schools and is really straight-forward to use. There is a further link to additional resources on their website. Review: Vicky Cook
