The Edit: A digital story-telling challenge

The Edit – a digital story-telling challenge – is focusing this year on themes of equality, diversity and inclusion and climate change.

The initiative is aimed at students aged eight to 18 and tasks them with creating a 90-second video news report.

This year, the report must cover either issues relating to equality, diversity and inclusion or climate change.

In particular, this year The Edit is working with Kick it Out to challenge students to create a digital news story celebrating “heroes who have fought for a more equal society”.

The programme includes free lesson resources and access to creative tools and footage to support pupils and teachers.

The Edit was created by Sky and Adobe and is aimed at giving children and young people an insight into careers in the media industry and introducing them to new skills.
