The Big Vote

Written by: Pete Henshaw | Published:

Primary pupils are being invited to participate in The Big Vote to determine the issue of greatest concern to our nation’s children.

The Young Citizens Make a Difference Challenge and The Week Junior are running the project.

The Young Citizens Make a Difference Challenge is a child-led social action project that supports key stage 2 pupils to identify, research and address a cause or a concern that they want to do something about. Issues include homelessness, cancer, the environment and animal welfare.

The Big Vote closes on December 1, following which relevant charities or organisations will be selected to work children around the country to develop a campaign in which all primary schools can participate to bring the issue to the attention of political representatives and the public.
