Do timber classrooms boost grades?

Facilities
Beautiful, dynamic teaching spaces and environmentally sustainable to boot. Research indicates that timber teaching spaces can have a positive impact on students.

The School Without Stress study (http://bit.ly/2lv5mHZ)showed that pupils in a timber-clad and timber-furnished classroom are less stressed and better able to concentrate than those in a standard classroom.

Another study showed the negative effect that raised classroom temperatures can have on outcomes (Wargocki & Wyon, 2006).

However, because timber modular buildings have excellent thermal performance and air quality (timber is a breathable material that moderates temperature), pupils are more likely to be comfortable.

The Stable Company designs, manufactures and installs bespoke timber classrooms and during the last 15 years has delivered more than 1,800 timber buildings for the education sector.
